Tom Brady comments on Lombardi Trophy toss: 'Riskiest pass I threw all season'

Tom Brady’s Lombardi Trophy toss caused a bit of a stir during the Buccaneers Super Bowl celebration, but the seven-time champion is still having some fun with it.

Brady posted on his Instagram story an 8-bit version of himself tossing the trophy while on a boat.

“Riskiest pass I threw all season,” he wrote with a bunch of laughing face emojis.

It was the first comment Brady has made about the toss, which was caught by Cameron Brate on another boat, since the 43-year-old received backlash from Lorraine Grohs, the daughter of Greg Grohs – the silversmith at Tiffany and Co. who crafted the trophy.

Grohs demanded an apology from Brady and said the trophy was “disgraced and disrespected by being thrown as if it was a real football.”

Clearly, Brady’s Instagram post shows he is well aware that it was not the smartest thing in the world to do, but no damage was done so the fun continues for Tampa Tom.

Whether or not he will eventually apologize, or if he even believes one is warranted, remains to be seen.

For now, Brady continues to bask in the glory of his seventh Super Bowl title.
