Speaking recently with "Stick Season" singer and songwriter Noah Kahan, we found out that, although he had no pretenses about being included on this year's esteemed GRAMMYs nominees list, he has a very special +1 in mind if and when it does come time to celebrate.

“I could never be more honored to even have people -- I've seen a couple of articles that, you know, like I'm being considered -- It's so cool and so special,” Noah recently told Audacy’s Sean Mack at Austin’s Mix 94.7, before his 2023 nomination was made official.

Humbled, he added, “I expect absolutely nothing and will be incredibly happy either way to even have been in the conversation. Life is so cool and crazy, and I told my mom when I was a little kid that if I ever made it to the GRAMMYS, I would bring her. So, that would be what I would do if in the unlikely circumstances that I was nominated.”

Obviously, his music has made a much bigger impression on the Recording Academy than he had envisioned, as he's up for the Best New Artist trophy this year, along with Coco Jones, Gracie Abrams, Fred Again.., Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Victoria Monét, and The War and Treaty.

There's plenty of music for new fans to check out from Noah before GRAMMYs time in February, and longtime followers were just treated to his latest offering, a new duet with Hozier on Kahan's 2022 Stick Season lead track, "Northern Attitude," on November 9.
