Ahead of the band's concert in San Antonio, TX, this past September, indie rock legends CAKE stopped by Texas Public Radio KSTX to record a song for their Live From the Freight Elevator sessions, offering up "Billionaire in Space" from their forthcoming seventh studio album set to be released next year.

"Billionaire in Space" is actually the band's second brand new song, following up their Songs For Sex, a NOISE FOR NOW and Artist Rights Alliance benefit compilation track  “Hold You (Responsible)” that arrived earlier this month.

CAKE's last full-length, Showroom of Compassion, was released in 2011. and since then they have dropped a live album, a collection of B-sides and demos, and their 2018 single, “Sinking Ship.” According to the band, they hope to have the new album buttoned up by the end of this year, and have plans for another live album in the works as well.

Fans can catch CAKE live this November 5 in Las Vegas as part of the #iVoted concert series, and in Chicago for 'An Evening With CAKE' at The Salt Shed on November 23. Grab your tickets HERE.
