LOS ANGELES (KNX) – The Los Angeles Police Department’s Follow Home Task Force arrested three men in connection with a string of follow-home robberies.

Officials said Matthew Adams, 18, Jayon Sparks, 24, and Eric Wilson, 32, were arrested for robberies that happened across Los Angeles since January.

The first of robberies occurred on Jan. 7. The trio are accused of robbing a man a gunpoint outside his car in Burbank. That same night, a man and into the elevator in West Hollywood and Adams and another suspect got in and robbed the couple at gunpoint. Both Adams and the other suspect left.

On Jan. 14, two men were leaving a nightclub on North La Cienega Boulevard when Adams and another suspect robbed the two men.

On Jan. 20, two men were robbed at gunpoint by Adams, Sparks, and four to five other guys. The suspects ran off with the victims’ cash, purse, watch and jewelry.

The most recent robbery occurred on March 30, in which Adams and another suspect robbed two UCLA students in West Los Angeles. One of the students was hit in the head with a gun as the suspects took off the students’ belongings, including an iPhone and two watches.

Adams was arrested March 31 after a traffic stop. He is currently being held on $450,000 bail. The LAPD said he had already been arrested three times this year for another robbery and for weapons violations.

His court date was scheduled for April 14.

Officers arrested Sparks and Wilson on March 24 after two firearms were found in their car. A search warrant to their apartment showed items from other robberies, as well as multiple weapons. Wilson posted bail and Sparks is still in custody.

Both will appear in court April 26.
