An alleged Hollywood serial arsonist is charged with the murders of two elderly sisters, who died in a fire he's accused of setting.
Jovan Duverne, 39, was charged with 11 counts of arson and two counts of murder, according to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office,
Prosecutors say that on Feb. 4, Duverne set fire to a residence on Vista Del Mar, causing the deaths of sisters Maria Del Consuelo Alarcon-Valdez, 76, and Yolanda Honda, 82. He was arrested later that day.
Duverne is also accused of setting fires at ten locations in Hollywood between Jan. 26 and Feb.4.
If convicted, he could face life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
