According to TMZ, Alexander – who was married to Spears for 55 hours in 2004 – went live on Instagram and approached what looked like a security guard.

“Britney Spears invited me here,” he told the security guard. “She’s my first wife. My only wife. I’m her first husband. I’m here to crash the wedding.”

The outlet reported that Ventura County deputies restrained Alexander. Alexander was charged with trespassing, vandalism, and two counts of battery. After being taken into custody, Alexander was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for larceny.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that the “Toxic” singer and her fiancé, Sam Asghari, would tie the knot on Thursday.

Last summer, Alexander was spotted at a #FreeBritney protest where he told media outlets there he was supporting the movement and Spears, adding that he spoke to the “Hit Me Baby One More Time” singer the day prior.

In December 2021, Alexander was arrested in Tennessee for stalking a woman. He pleaded guilty and was put on probation for 11 months, according to Page Six.
