LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Clayton Kershaw is here to stay—at least for another year. The free agent agreed to a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, sources told The Athletic reporter Ken Rosenthal Friday.

Kershaw, a three-time Cy Young Award winner and eight-time All-Star, will stay with the only team he’s ever played for in his 14-year career.
He had an opt-out clause in his contract after the 2018 season, but agreed to stay with the Dodgers for another three years in a $93 million contract before becoming a free agent, according to CBS Sports.
The 33-year-old pitcher was in the Dodgers’ rotation into July, but then dealt with left forearm inflammation and was out until the middle of September, CBS Sports reported. After experiencing some arm pain again during the last scheduled start of the season and ended up not pitching in the postseason.
The Dodgers believe Kershaw will be at full health, but will know more once he goes through a physical examination, according to ESPN.
