An excessive heat warning is in effect for the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, and Antelope Valleys.
The extreme heat is expected to last through Tuesday night. KNX News’ Jon Baird spoke to Dr. Robbie Monroe, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, about what they’re expecting.
“We're looking at widespread high temperatures across the valleys to interiors of 100, 110 degrees,” he said.
One construction worker on Ventura Blvd. wasn’t breaking a sweat, despite the high temperatures.

“Your body gets used to it and after a while, a couple of weeks, your body, you know, it adjusts,” the construction worker said.
Temperatures in the valleys are expected to slightly cool off on Wednesday.
