(KNX) — The attorney representing the Indiana doctor who performed an abortion on a 10-year-old rape victim has sent a “cease and desist” letter to the state’s Attorney General.
Kathleen DeLaney, who’s representing Dr. Caitlin Bernard, said comments made by Attorney General Todd Rokita include “false and misleading statements” that cast Bernard “in a false light and allege misconduct in her profession.”

Rokita said Bernard was an “abortion activist acting as a doctor" and had a history of failing to report abortions earlier this week on Fox News.
Delaney said she followed the law and did did report the procedure performed on the child.
Delaney wrote in the letter that “such inflammatory accusations have the potential to incite harassment or violence.”
She went on to say that Rokita’s statements “constitute defamation.”
