When you’re the daughter of Jay-Z and Beyoncé, you’re gonna grow up in front of the camera.
Ten-year-old Blue Ivy Carter and her famous father were sitting courtside for Game 5 of the Warriors-Celtics matchup in the NBA Finals in San Francisco. At one point cameras cut to the pair and Jay-Z embarrassed her like any dad would on the big screen, putting his arm around her and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
“Stop dad!” Blue Ivy told him.
Classic dad move by Hova. Also, does Blue Ivy look like a Beyoncé mini-me or what?
This marked the second game of these Finals for Jay-Z, as he also sat courtside for Game 1. But he was dapping it up with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown after that Celtics victory.
Monday night, the Warriors celebrated and met with Jay-Z and Blue Ivy following their 104-94 win to take a 3-2 series lead. Jordan Poole and Draymond Green greeted him on the court shortly after the buzzer, while Steph Curry met him in the tunnel after the game.
Lot of greatness in the arena Monday night in San Francisco.
Ideally, the Warriors will close out the series in Boston Thursday night and return for a parade, instead of Game 7, so this might have been Jay-Z’s last chance to catch the Dubs in The City this season.
