Meet Katina Holliday, the CEO and founder of Holliday's Helping Hands - a nonprofit organization based in Carson, CA, that improves the quality of life for disenfranchised individuals through love, faith, and providing second chances.

With seven locations and two more about to open, her organization, which started in 2018, is making a BIG difference in our SoCal community!

Following in her grandmother's footsteps, Holliday is continuing her family's legacy of giving. She tells Heroes host Heather Jordan, "During the pandemic, we were able to run some of the largest COVID sites and Project Homekey sites. So we've touched, over the past six years, over 3,000 people."
Helping homeless families find a home is one of their biggest priorities, specifically, women who have been incarcerated, are pregnant, and need a second chance.

One aspect of the organization that Holliday is incredibly proud of is their single father's home. "I love to brag about it because people don't think about single fathers as being homeless," she said.. "A lot of shelters won't take kids over 12 with the families and different things of that nature, but we don't discriminate who the family is, which makes HHH its own special niche."
Recently, the nonprofit handed out sandwiches, socks, supplies and even some roses for homeless people who needed a little extra love for Valentine's Day.
"People were just so thankful that they were not forgetting about, and so we called it a 'Day of Love,' and we're going to make it an annual event. It was our second time going out, and it was truly an amazing day," said Holliday.
