A small earthquake near South Pasadena shook Los Angeles County on Tuesday afternoon.

The magnitude 2.8 quake struck at 3:05 p.m. and was centered 2.2 miles southwest of South Pasadena, according to the United States Geological Survey. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
USGS officials noted this was likely an aftershock of a 3.4 magnitude quake that occurred in the same area on Sunday.
