ORANGE, Calif. (KNX) – The man and woman accused of the shooting death of a six-year-old boy on the 55 Freeway will face a jury trial.
Superior Court Judge Larry Yellin ruled Wednesday that Marcus Anthony Eriz, 25, will face trial for murder and firearms charges in the death of Aiden Leos, while Wynne Lee, 24, will face trial for being an accessory after the fact, according to The Orange County Register.

On May 21, Leos was shot in his mother’s car as she was driving. His mother said she was driving in the carpool lane and when she went to switch lanes, a white sedan cut her off, The Los Angeles Times reported. That’s when the shots were fired at the car.
When Leos' mother turned around and saw what happened to him, she pulled over.
Leos was taken to the Children's Hospital of Orange County where he died.
On June 6, Eriz and Lee were arrested at their home in Costa Mesa. . District Attorney Todd Spitzer set Eriz’s bail at $1 million while Lee’s bail was reduced $500,000.
Lee is currently free on bail, while Eriz is still in jail.
Their arraignment is scheduled for April 12.
