Shortly after 10 a.m., the San Francisco Fire Department tweeted a picture of the man. Passersby also began sharing videos on social media of the man who had made it quite far up the tallest building in the Bay Area.

In a video that appeared to be shot by the man himself from the breathtakingly high vantage point, the climber reveals he chose to scale the tower to protest a doctor "killing babies," referencing the debate over abortion rights reignited overnight by a leaked draft of a Supreme Court opinion on the issue.

The man is named Maison Des Champs, KGO reported, and calls himself the "Pro-Life Spider Man."

The local fire department condemned the action, pointing to how his actions also endangered the lives of firefighters and put the public at risk. First responders urged people to avoid the area.

Shortly after 10:45 a.m., the man reached the top of the tower at 415 Mission Street and was immediately arrested. A KPIX 5 live camera atop the tower captured the arrest in full.

The 1,070-foot headquarters of Salesforce is the nation’s 17th tallest building and the second tallest west of the Mississippi River.
