A man was killed in an officer-involved shooting at Exposition Park on Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
At 9:35 a.m., officers responded to the parking lot of the California Science Center off Figueroa St. after an LAPD motorcycle officer spotted the man with what appeared to be a rifle, LAPD Deputy Chief Mark Raina told KNX News' Pete Demetriou.
He said at least two officers fired and the man died at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
