Pro-Palestinian protesters camped overnight at UCLA after kicking off their "solidarity encampment" on Thursday.

KNX News Jon Baird reported that at one point in the early morning a man holding a US flag and an Israeli flag walked over and turned on some loud music.

The man said his goal was to make the demonstrators uncomfortable.

“I came to make sure that once they're nice and tired, I'll make sure they don't sleep,” he said.

During Thursday’s protest, a small group draped in Israeli flags showed up. While both protests were conducted peacefully, a shoving match reportedly broke out in the evening but campus security quickly ended it.

When the demonstrators initially gathered, Mary Osako, vice chancellor of UCLA Strategic Communications, said the school’s top priority was safety and that they would monitor “to support a peaceful campus environment that respects our community's right to free expression while minimizing disruption to our teaching and learning mission."

On Wednesday, more than 90 people were arrested following a Pro-Palestine demonstration at USC’s Alumni Park. A day later, officials at the university announced that its main stage commencement ceremony was canceled. Instead, USC will hold smaller commencement events.
