Road closures announced ahead of Long Beach Grand Prix

Road closures have been announced as the city of Long Beach gears up for the Acura Grand Prix.

The event returned after it was canceled due to the COVID-19 for the first time since beginning in 1975.

The street closures are as followed:

Friday, Sept. 24:

6 a.m. Entry to the Hyatt, Shoreline Village and the Shoreline Marine from Ocean Boulevard and Pine Avenue will be closed. Southbound Pine Avenue will be closed as well. Grand Prix pass holders can get to the south side of the track through the Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos Avenue intersection.

7 p.m. Pine Avenue will be opened for traffic to get to the Hyatt, Shoreline Village, and Shoreline Marina. Shoreline Village will have available parking. Valet parking will be available for those dining at the restaurants. Cars coming from Pine Avenue will following the directional signage to exit through the Marin Green parking lot.

9:30 p.m. The Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos Avenue entry access route will close.

Saturday, Sept. 25:

6 a.m. Entry to the Hyatt, Shoreline Village, and the Shoreline Marina from Ocean Blvd. and Pine Avenue will close. Southbound Pine Avenue will also be closed off. Grand Prix pass holders can get to the south side of the track through the Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos Avenue intersection.

7 p.m. Pine Avenue will be opened for traffic to get to the Hyatt, Shoreline Village, and Shoreline Marina. Shoreline Village will have available parking.
