Tree trimmer dies in Agoura Hills, investigation underway

AGOURA HILLS (CNS) - A tree trimmer was fatally injured Wednesday in Agoura Hills, authorities said.

Firefighters were sent to the 4000 block of Lewis Road, south of the 101 Freeway, at about 10:30 a.m. on a report that a person was trapped about 40 feet up a tree, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported. Information on his identity was not immediately available.

The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
