What Amy Adams calls a Swiftie her age
Amy Adams talked about how she became a late-blooming Swiftie on "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon," explaining it was after she went to one of Taylor Swift's concerts that she fell for her. She escribed herself now as "a Swiftie at 50, so I'm like a shifty 50 Swiftie," adding, "'Isn't that nifty?,'" tapping into her inner Dr. Seuss as well…
By the way, Amy Adams is the subject of an Internet movement looking to cast her in a hypothetical biopic of Taylor Swift as Taylor's publicist, Tree Paine. Amy is down for it, saying, "That would be amazing. That would be so fun. If it got me closer to Taylor, then that would be fun."
Sabrina Carpenter has been named TikTok's top U.S. artist of 2024, with her music inspiring over 15 million videos on the platform, leading a list that also includes Ice Spice, Billie Eilish, and Meghan Trainor, along with viral trends like Charli XCX's "Brat Summer."
"Mama Said Knock You Out" and "Around the Way Girl" singer LL Cool J calls himself "The Most Important Rapper That Ever Existed" during an interview for "Le Code." Now, in 2023, Billboard and Vibe named Jay-Z the greatest rapper of all time, which did spark debate within the hip hop industry, but I don't know if LL Cool J's name was ever part of that debate. To be fair, he does have an album named G.O.A.T., and it did hit #1 so he can enter that for argument's sake. And his new song with Eminem is getting tons of traction – 17 million views on YouTube already in just two months.
BTS' hit song "Butter" has officially surpassed one billion views on YouTube, making it the group's seventh music video to achieve this milestone, joining hits like "Dynamite" and "Boy With Luv." That still doesn't give them the most though; J Balvin and Justin Bieber are tied for the most videos in YouTube's Billion Views Club with 11 each. Ozuna is close behind with 10, and Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Maluma each have eight.
Ariana Grande taped a segment for "The Drew Barrymore Show" and Drew surprised her with a major prop from 1939's "The Wizard of Oz." She handed her Glinda the Good Witch's wand from the film (which is owned privately). When a crew member handed it to Ariana, the tears started flowing. There's a good chance there were more tears when they told her it wasn't for her to keep.
