The 3 most important things Melissa Rivers saved from the fires
An update on the fires in Los Angeles…
- Melissa Rivers shared during an interview on CNN, "I kind of had a mental checklist. I made sure that we got passports, birth certificates, medication, clothing [then] it started to hit me, we literally just had what was on our backs…To be 100% honest, I grabbed my mom's Emmy, a photo of my dad and a drawing that my mother had done of me and my son."
- I told you yesterday that homes belonging to James Woods, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Faris, Billy Crystal, Eugene Levy, John Goodman, and Paris Hilton all burned down, now we hear that Jeff Bridges, Candy Spelling, Miles Teller, Anthony Hopkins, Cobie Smulders, and Taran Killam's homes were all lost to the fires as well.
- Jamie Lee Curtis and her husband Christopher Guest's home was barely spared from the California wildfires, while most of her neighborhood was in ashes, and she shared on Jimmy Fallon's show that "As the fire still rages on...my husband and I and our children have pledged $1-million from our Family Foundation to start a fund of support for our great city and state and the great people who live and love there."
- I told you yesterday that Ben Affleck had to flee the home he moved into five months ago after splitting from Jennifer Lopez, heading to his ex Jennifer Garner's for safety, but Ben was able to move back into the house yesterday. The area is still under evacuation, but he went home anyway.
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Jennifer Aydin has broken her silence about her viral Jersey Mike's meltdown, basically saying "sorry not sorry." She maintained she "was not rude" to the employees at a JM's airport location, claiming, "That staff was very highly dismissive, not just to me, to everybody on that line. Everybody was frustrated." She then took "full responsibility and accountability," however she had to add, "I just want people to know that that was coming from a very frustrated mom who just wanted to make her flight with her children."
Former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy, Liam Payne's ex and mother to his 7-year-old son, Bear, has been the victim of a violent stalker. The man was in prison for stalking her (and for other crimes) and there's a restraining order in place, but in the weeks following Liam's funeral, he started showing up to her home again.
Today is Hoda Kotb's last day on the "Today" show. Hoda has co-anchored the show since Matt Lauer was forced out in 2017. Announcing the move back in September, Hoda said she wanted to spend more time with her young daughters. She is expected to still contribute to the show. The show is dubbing Hoda's last day, which is today, a "Hodabration."
Less than five months after Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, and after two years of marriage, the two have settled their divorce, with both reportedly walking away with whatever they individually acquired during their marriage. The split becomes official February 20th, at which point JLo will abandon her marital name "Affleck." I would hope so - considering how many times she's been married, that would be a lot of hyphenating for each subsequent marriage.
