The latest on the fallout from the Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal
Andy Byron has resigned as CEO of Astronomer after a viral kiss cam video from a Coldplay concert showed him holding his company's HR head, Kristin Cabot, from behind, sparking allegations of an affair between the two. The viral video, taken at Gillette Stadium, showed Andy, who is married, trying to duck out of view and Kristin trying to turn away from the camera once they realized they were on the big screen.
Katy Perry almost fell out of a hamster ball at a recent concert, and yet again, she almost fell to the ground, this time as she took a nosedive mid-performance Friday night on a huge prop. The prop suddenly jerked sideways, sending Katy into a brief freefall, but she was able to hold on.
Drake Bell has talked about the dark side of Nickelodeon before, and now he's calling out the network for leaving him broke. Drake said, "That's the perception of the world... 'I saw you on TV. You're rich.'" But, he explained, "Most of us on Nickelodeon, we don't get residuals for our shows." Even with "Drake & Josh" now trending on Netflix and airing nonstop on cable, Drake said, "I gotta figure out how to pay my rent this month," while pointing out there's "some fat cat with a cigar is just sitting up at the top of Viacom… getting high on child labor."
"Practical Magic 2" has begun production, with Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock sharing a heartwarming video from their first day back on set as Gillian and Sally Owens. The sequel will adapt Alice Hoffman's "The Book of Magic" (the fourth book, chronologically). Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest are also returning as aunts Franny and Jet Owens, while Joey King, Lee Pace, and Maisie Williams join the cast. Evan Rachel Wood, who as a young actor played Kylie, the older daughter of Sandra's Sally Owens, confirmed this week that she was not asked to rejoin; "I was not asked to come back and be in the 'Practical Magic' sequel. l offered my services, even if it was one scene or one line. I am sorry to disappoint the fans. It was not in my control or my choice. I would have happily rejoined my sisters." "Practical Magic 2" hits theaters on September 18, 2026.
