There’s a quote that says, “The most disrespected person in America is the black woman, the most neglected person in America is the black woman, and the most unprotecetd person in America is the black woman.” We see that in what black woman are paid. We are paid less than the white woman although many times we are more qualified. I’ve experienced this many times. Black woman experience sexual assault higher than white woman. And we experience police brutality at a higher rate than white woman. It’s like our lives mean nothing. Clearly we have just seen it played out it in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor. Not one officer was charged for takng this beautiful woman's life. NOT ONE! It’s not safe for the black woman. See black woman are known for showing up for everybody else, but who shows up for us? We are now not even safe in our own homes while we are sleeping. I fear and I hate to say that word but I do. I fear for myself, my black daughter and black woman all over the world. I have not been able to rest since the verdict came out. Now not only do we have to protect ourselves during this pandemic from Covid-19, but we have to also protect ourselves from the ones who have been sworn to protect us. No justice for Breonna Taylor. Say her name.
