The Texans are signing linebacker Hardy Nickerson Jr. as they continue to makeover the roster for 2021.
Nickerson, the son of retired All-Pro linebacker Hardy Nickerson Sr., played for the Minnesota Vikings last season. He played in 14 games, started in one, had 95 tackles and one interception.
The signing reunites Nickerson with Texans defensive coordinator Lovie Smith, who coached him college at Illinois.
Nickerson went undrafted in 2017 and spent his first three NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.
