Love that sweater from Popeyes!
The fried chicken chain wants to help you get into the holiday spirit by bringing back its ugly Christmas sweater.
The sweater boasts the fast food franchise’s signature orange color along with red and white details. It’s fully-knitted with snowflake designs and other festive patterns including a chicken sandwich.
The sweater also features a design of a chicken wearing hat and scarf set.
"Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen serves up an “Ugly Christmas Sweater” sure to be the ultimate ice breaker for any holiday party," the product description reads.
"With the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich becoming a household favorite and pop culture phenomenon this year, the team at UglyChristmasSweater.com partnered with the beloved Cajun brand to create a holiday festive look sure to make mouths water,” it added.
The sweater can be yours for $44.95 and comes in sizes ranging from small to 3XL. It will be available while supplies last.
Not only is the sweater festive, but it also benefits a good cause.
According to the company, 100% of profits from the sweater will be donated to the Popeyes Foundation to bring relief to families and children in need. It noted that $17 of the purchase price will be donated.
The Chicken Sandwich Ugly Sweater made its debut last year and sold out almost immediately.
However, this isn’t Popeyes’ first venture into food-inspired fashion.
In January, the chain revealed a limited-edition collection of uniforms featuring 10 different items, including baseball caps, visors, button-down shirts, and hooded jackets.
The prices of the items ranged from $10 to $40 and featured the chain’s favorite colors, maroon and orange.
After spending most of the year pitting other fried chicken fast food joints against each other, the chain has decided to shake up the menu in a different way.
The latest menu item has absolutely nothing to do with fried chicken and everything to do with dessert.
On Monday, Popeyes announced chocolate beignets, a “New Orleans-style" fried pastry that’s stuffed with melted Hershey's chocolate and doused in powdered sugar.
