Given how much concern surrounds the Chiefs right now, it's a bit surreal to see them still with 11 wins and fighting for the AFC's top seed in the playoffs. Despite the typically-productive season from Patrick Mahomes and company, the excitement around a potential deep-playoff run just isn't there right now, especially after two frustrating wins over inferior opponents. While speaking to 610's The Drive this week, Chiefs Insider Pete Sweeney explained why that is, and what can be done over the final three games to turn things around.

"I think I'm a little less panicked right now, just because there are three weeks to right the ship," he said. "I feel like these three weeks will be built so you can get healthy, with guys like Toney and Hardman, and just to play cleaner. I think that's what missing right now. The Chiefs are not playing clean games. I think if they could clean up the turnovers, you would see them have games at hand a lot earlier, and not have these scares against the Broncos and the Texans. What I would tell you is, if this was the week that the playoffs were starting, it does have the feel of a team that could get upset. So I think what you're looking for right now is three good weeks of football where you're feeling a little bit better about yourself A. as a fan, and B. as a player."
