All the alternate uniforms for the upcoming NFL season have dropped, and it shouldn't be much of a surprise to anyone that the Chiefs aren't among the teams wearing some this season. Kansas City is one of the few franchises that has never worn alternate uniforms, and though it doesn't sound like that will change any time soon, team president Mark Donovan hinted recently that fans should never say never. Speaking at the team’s opening press conference from training camp, Donovan was asked about the idea of alternate uniforms somewhere down the line.
"I don't want to create hope where there isn't hope," he said. "There's an open discussion. There's definitely more of a consideration than there's ever been. We've definitely had some good conversations about the opportunity. But as you can imagine, I think we are the only team – we might be one of a small group – that has never changed ... That's important to us, too. It's finding that balance."
Camp is getting underway this week, with rookies having already reported this weekend.
