The Missouri Tigers defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks by a score of 28-21 on Saturday in their annual Battle Line Rivalry game. Mizzou has now won 3 consecutive games over the Razorbacks and has dominated the series since joining the SEC, winning 9 of the 11 games between the two programs.
Saturday was the last home game for senior quarterback Brady Cook and the final collegiate game overall for star wide receiver Luther Burden III, who declared for the NFL draft on Monday and announced he will skip the bowl game. It was a memorable game for Brady Cook, who scored a touchdown on a 30-yard scramble up the middle with Mizzou trailing Arkansas 21-20 with only 1:53 remaining in the game. After scoring the touchdown, Mizzou successfully converted on a 2-point conversion attempt with a pass from Brady Cook to Luther Buden that put Mizzou up 28-21. The Mizzou defense would hold the Razorbacks scoreless on their final possession and preserve the 28-21 victory. Mizzou finishes the season with a perfect 7-0 record at Faurot field and finishes the regular season with 9 or more wins for only the 9th time in school history. Mizzou is now ranked no. 22 in the AP Top 25 poll and finishes tied for 9th in the 16 team SEC. Missouri will play in a bowl game later this month and will have a chance to reach 10 wins in back-to-back seasons for just the 3rd time in school history.
