Each week Christine and Salt interview the Badass Woman of the Week, a feature that aims to reward women who have overcome a challenge and emerged stronger as a result. Each Badass Woman wins an empowering B Badass bracelet from The Power to B and is featured on-air Fridays at 7:15 A.M. with Christine and Salt in the morning.
This week's Badass Woman of the Week is Soribel Martinez of Bloomfield — nominated by her longtime friend, Maria Chapman. Maria writes, "Soribel is a powerful visionary and a champion of all women. She is the CEO of SMPsychotherapy, a therapy practice employing over 15 therapists and serving thousands of clients in Connecticut. She founded JC's Precious Minds Foundation, a non-profit entity dedicated to providing psychological, educational, and financial support, to single Dominican mothers of children with special needs such as Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and any disability related to learning. She is a bestselling author with another book releasing in March called Unbreakable. In addition to her roles as CEO and founder, Soribel is a Dominican-American, a mother, a speaker, a storyteller, an adjunct professor of Psychology at Post University, a member of the Post University’s Malcolm Baldrige School of Business-Management Advisory Board, and a Doctor of Social Work candidate at Walden University." WOW! We can't keep up with all that Soribel has accomplished and we're SURE she has WAY MORE to achieve!! So congratulations to Soribel for inspiring us all and for constantly looking for ways to improve the lives of others. Check out Soribel's interview with Christine and Salt below.
