Hey there, fellow news enthusiasts and fans of WFSB anchor Kara Sundlun! Christine and Salt chatted with the fabulous Channel 3 host and got all the tea on what's going on in her professional and personal life.

New Set, New Time Slot

First things first, Kara has embarked on an exciting new adventure as she takes on a brand-new 4pm news time slot which comes complete with a fancy, state-of-the-art set. If you haven't tuned in yet, you're in for a visual treat!

Kara's Cures Podcast

Beyond her daily news anchor duties, Kara also hosts what she calls her true passion — "Kara's Cures" podcast. With each episode, she delves into various health and wellness topics, sharing tips from experts in the field.

Airing at 3pm: Great Day Connecticut

You can also catch Kara and co-host Scot Haney on the enduring "Great Day Connecticut," which airs at 3pm. The fun part is, Kara pretty much introduces herself, bridging the end of Great Day and the beginning of her 4pm news! As she puts it, "the first hour we inspire and the second hour we inform."

Family Updates

Kara and her husband, WTNH's Dennis House, have been keeping busy as parents to two teens. Julian has just started high school and their daughter Helena — a junior in high school — is taking on the exciting challenge of learning to drive. Time truly does fly, and Kara isn't immune to those precious, bittersweet "mom moments."

Speaking of which, Kara recently had one of those classic "mom moments" when she woke up at 3am in a panic because she realized she forgot to order Julian's high school books. Always up for a challenge, she resorted to some late-night online shopping and managed to place the order in the nick of time! (We're crossing our fingers she treated herself to something nice while browsing the internet.)

Be sure to tune in to WFSB at her new 4pm time slot to catch Kara in action on the gorgeous new set and check out her interview with Christine and Salt below, where they calculate with all the work Kara does both at home and at Channel 3 she probably only has about four minutes of peace and quiet to herself!
