ANSONIA, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Ansonia Police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon bank robbery at the Ion Bank on Tremont Street.
Police say a male suspect, around 35 years of age, approached a teller and handed over a note, stating he had a weapon and demanding money.
The man stole several thousand dollars from the bank and fled on foot towards East Main Street and Tremont Street.
Detectives have several strong leads and are attempting to positively identify the suspect.
