Arrest made in Manchester stabbing

Manchester, Conn./WTIC Radio - An arrest has been made in connection with the stabbing of a woman Thursday night on Oakland Street in Manchester.

The suspect has been identified as Damion Davis, 35, of Hartford.


According to police, Davis was a frequent customer at a Sam's Food Store where the 23-year-old woman worked.

Detectives say after interviewing the victim and family members, it was determined she was being stalked by Davis.

Police say Davis confessed to the stabbing and also told them where the knife used the attack was after he fled the scene.

Davis is facing multiple charges, including assault, home invasion, carrying a dangerous weapon, burglary and stalking.

He's being held on $1 million bond and is due in court on Tuesday.

Meantime, the victim is recovering and is in stable condition at Hartford Hospital.
