Arrest made in shooting of teenaged girl

Berlin, Conn./WTIC Radio - Berlin police have made an arrest in connection with the shooting of a teenaged girl last weekend.

It was Sunday that officers were called to a home on Deming Road on a report of a gunshot inside the home.

A 17-year-old girl was brought to the Hospital of Central Connecticut with a gunshot wound the abdomen.

Now, police are charging Benjamin Homar, 17, of Berlin.

He faces charges of assault, robbery, criminal use of a firearm, and possession of a stolen firearm.

Homar's bond is $750,000 and he is due in court in New Britain on Friday.
