Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Connecticut's senior U.S. senator has tested positive for Covid-19.
Senator Richard Blumenthal made the announcement this morning via Twitter.
"Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID", Blumenthal said in a tweet.
The 76-year-old said he will spend the week working remotely.
Blumenthal said he isn't experiencing any symptoms and that he is "thankful to be fully vaccinated & boosted".
He says he is urging those who haven't had a shot or a booster to make an appointment get vaccinated.
