Norwich, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in Norwich are now calling the discovery of a body in a city park over the weekend a homicide incident.
Investigators say a person walking through Mohegan Park Sunday afternoon noticed something protruding from the ground and, belieiving it may have been a person, called police.
Detectives say further investigation and an autopsy have determined the victim is a Black of Hispanic male between 35-and-50-years-of-age.
The person was buried in a shallow grave, according to police, and died from a gunshot wound in what police think was a targeted attack.
The male is about 5'10", 150-160 pounds.
He has black, braided hair, beard or goatee, and was missing four front teeth.
