HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)—Hartford Yard Goats fans will have a chance to get a COVID-19 vaccine during select home games this May at Dunkin' Donuts Park.

The Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club is teaming up with Hartford HealthCare to provide vaccinations at Yard Goats games.

"We will have minimally 100 people who come to the game become vaccinated and if there's more need and more demand, we will do whatever's necessary to bring more vaccines," Hartford HealthCare's President and CEO Jeff Flaks said.

Game vaccinations kick off with the Yard Goats home opener on Tuesday, May 11 against the Portland Sea Dogs at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford.

Vaccinations are also scheduled for games on Wednesday, May 12, Sunday, May 16, Tuesday, May 18, Wednesday, May 19 and Sunday, May 23.

According to officials, fans who get vaccinated at a Yard Goats game will get four tickets to a future game and a Dunkin' hot card.

Appointments are not necessary, however, Hartford HealthCare is offering the option to register in advance on their website.

Yard Goats President Tim Restall said, "The Yard Goats fan experience is the most important part about attending home games and what better way to improve on that than having fans get their vaccinations at Dunkin Donuts Park."
