DERBY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A man is dead following an early-morning house fire in Derby.
Firefighters responded to the home on Pleasant View Road around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday. They were able to knock down the blaze in about 20 minutes.
The lone resident of the home, a man who was approximately 52 years old, was pulled from the building and pronounced dead at the scene, said firefigthters.
The man's name wasn't immediately available.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
