
East Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man is under arrest for an incident last September in which a state police trooper was dragged while trying to get the suspect off a motorcycle.
The incident occurred last September 10th.
Troopers were investigating erratic operation involving two motorcycles in Mansfield, one of which was allegedly driven by Kelvin Miranda, 23, of East Hartford.
An arrest warrant states that the trooper spotted Miranda at Betsy Patterson Square near EO Smith High School.
That's when investigators say Miranda tried to flee on the bike with the trooper attempting to pull him off.
The officer was dragged about 15-to-20 feet before Miranda fled on foot.
The trooper tried to give chase on foot but sustained a knee injury after the bike fell on him.
Miranda was arrested last Friday.
He faces over a half dozen charges including reckless driving, disobeying the signal of an officer, and assault among others.
Bond was set at $75,000.00.
