East Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle along Interstate 84 in East Hartford on Tuesday.
According to state police, around 8:30 p.m., Randy Casado, 28, of Brooklyn, New York was in the HOV lane on the westbound side of the highway when he was hit near exit 58.
Casado died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was treated for minor injuries at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.
Several lanes of the the highway had to be shut down for several hours as police processed the scene.
Anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact State Police.
