DEEP has issued a consumption advisory based on elevated levels so-called PFAS in tissue samples from fish caught in the Hockanum in Vernon to the Connecticut River.
As a result, the department advises not eating fish caught in Shenipsit Lake dam, Union Pond in Manchester, several impoundments on the Hockanum in East Hartford, and the Tankerhoosen River.
