
Hebron, Conn./WTIC Radio - A former employee of the RHAM school district is charged with larceny after state police say she took tens of thousands of dollars in school funds for her personal use.
Under arrest is Christine Vardanian, 56, of Marlborough.
An arrest warrant states that Vardanian, while working as a secretary in the RHAM Central Office, may have ordered as much as $45,000 worth of items over a five year period.
A months long investigation found Vardanian allegedly used an Amazon account belonging to the district to purchase over 800 items for her personal use.
Vardanian now faces a charge of first degree larceny.
She turned herself in on Wednesday.
Vardanian is free on a $5,000 bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court November 4th.
