Hartford, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Gas prices are on the rise once again.

Word last week that OPEC+ is fixing to cut oil production by two million barrels next month has sparked fears of another pump price spike, much like what was seen in the early days of Russia's war with Ukraine.
"We have the perfect storm for huge price increases", said Mike Fox, the executive director of the Greenwich-based Gasoline and Automotive Service Dealers of America.
Fox said he can foresee prices higher that they were when we emerged from the pandemic.
He also said consumers in Connecticut need to be mindful of the end of the 25-cent gasoline tax holiday, set to end at the end of the year.
In Connecticut, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.43, up 16 cents from a week ago.
Nationally, the average price stands at $3.91 per gallon.
