Mayor Luke Bronin today announced the indoor mandate would run through the end of this month.

Exceptions include those with medical conditions that preclude donning a mask and children two years of age and under.

That would also include eating and drinking and certain private offices and office buildings.

In addition, Bronin says the city will continue handing out at-home test kits, as well as KN95 and N95 masks.

He says 9,000 test kits will be available for, among others, staff at public libraries and learning centers, as well as Hartford Housing Authority staff and residents, and city employees.

The mayor says an additional test kit shipment from the state is due in later this week.
