HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are investing a shooting that sent a 14-year-old boy to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
City police officers got a report of shots fired at around 2:20 p.m. in the Russ Street area.
Officers did find evidence of a shooting around 135 Russ Street upon arrival, police said.
While investigating the area, police said a victim arrived at an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
The 14-year-old male victim, police said, had non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
