Middletown, Conn./WTIC Radio - In Middletown, city officials are seeking more information regarding the apparent arrest of an individual by ICE agents outside court on Tuesday.
In a statement from the mayor's office, Mayor Ben Florshiem says a person at the courthouse on Court Street for an appearance was apprehended by several individuals in garb identifying them as FBI and another wearing a vest with "POLICE" across the front, who was also wearing a black facial bandanna.
Florshiem says police were not given a heads up about the action but did confirm the arrest.
The mayor says the city is looking for additional information and that he's been in touch with Senator Chris Murphy and state Attorney General William Tong about next steps.
