Man charged in deadly Hartford crash

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hartford Police make an arrest in connection with a deadly crash in June of 2025.

Police say Jose Carrion, 43, of Hartford, was speeding on Franklin Avenue on June 3, 2025, when he crossed Maple Avenue went off the road, hit a fence, struck two trees, and crashed into an unoccupied passenger van.

Christine Camacho, who was 38 at the time of the crash, was killed.

An 18-year-old was seriously hurt.

Carrion was also injured.

He is charged with second-degree manslaughter, operating under the influence, reckless driving, and failure to drive in a proper lane.

Bond is $400,000.
