Essex, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man is under arrest in Essex, charged in the stabbing death of a family member.
State police say just before 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, they received a 911 call from 18-year-old Matthew Craig indicating that he'd stabbed a family member several times.
When EMS and troopers arrived, they found the victim lying on the floor suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest and back.
The victim was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Investigators say Craig stabbed the victim while intervening in a domestic dispute between that person and a female.
Craig is charged with manslaughter and risk of injury.
Bond was set at $250,000 and he'll be in court Monday.
