New Britain, Conn./WTIC Radio - Longtime New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart has announced she'll not seek another term in office.
It would have been her seventh.
Stewart, in a social media post Tuesday morning, said she thinks it's time for new leadership after a dozen years.
The next New Britain mayoral election is 2025.
Stewart didn't indicate what her future plans are but did not rule out a rule out a run for higher office down the road.
