New London, Conn./WTIC Radio - A New London police officer will be in court to face charges in an alleged domestic violence incident.
Over the weekend, Officer Julio Gil-Martinez, 29, was arrested on a number of charges.
They include threatening, strangulation, assault, unlawful restraint and interfering.
A statement from New London police states that a victim reported the incident to Waterford police on Thursday.
Gil-Martinez was arrested Saturday after it was determined the alleged incident occurred in a New London residence.
Police did not release specific details of the case.
Bond for Gil-Martinez was set at $75,000.
He's being arraigned in New London Superior Court.
