
Willimantic, Conn./WTIC Radio - The company that employed a licensed practical nurse who was killed on the job in Willimantic last fall is being cited by OSHA.
The agency says Elara Caring was cited for not providing enough protections for employees.
Joyce Grayson, 63, was found dead on October 28th, 2023 in a halfway house where one of her clients, Michael Reese, lived.
Police found Reese in possession of Grayson's cell phone and vehicle.
Her death has been ruled a homicide.
OSHA's report says that day and in the past, Elara Caring employees were exposed to violence from patients who exhibited aggressive behavior.
The compnay has been fined over $163,000.
Reese, a registered sex offender, is charged in Grayson's death.
