West Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - West Hartford police say two men are being charged with running a drug operation 200 feet from an elementary school in town.
Last month, officers say the department's Community Support Unit began tracking illegal sales of crystal methamphetamine and GHB from an apartment on Farmington Avenue.
Police executed a warrant on April 27 and seized over $1,500 in cash, nearly 17 pounds of GHB and 33 grams of crystal meth, along with mushrooms and other drug factory/packing equipment.
Under arrest are Jason Comeau and Jason Blinn, both 40, of West Hartford.
Each is facing numerous charges including possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, operation of a drug factory and illegal sale within 1,500 feet of a school, Whiting Elementary School.
Comeau is free on bond. Blinn was in custody of judicial marshals.
Both have court dates for later this month.
